Oorah! Hurra! (Trust and Freedom)
I understand and can figure out who to trust in various situations. Miss Amanda is one of those I trust because she tells me the truth. She doesn’t try to impress me nor lie to me. She simply cares and wants the best for everyone, as do I. I was my dad’s brave little soldier and she is mine. It is why I call her my daughter. Binti or Minti. It can also mean my girl but that sounds queer even to me. Some things just don’t translate well, y’all.
It breaks my heart to see her upset. An hour or two before she was going to take me to Bellevue Hospital for my constantly and dangerously high blood pressure that three different classes of drugs aren’t helping, she was told that she wasn’t allowed to go. I could speculate but it doesn’t matter. The damage is done. This isn’t the first time either. I have written the individual responsible a letter and emailed it to Miss Amanda. I certainly hope for their sake that they reverse their attitude towards me, Miss Amanda and my case so that the damage isn’t irreparable because of my death due to their decisions.
I have grown fond of and see much potential in our community. I think that with far different leadership from President Trump down to the proverbial dog catcher, we could all see better days and stand united. Sundown town is true but we can change it. I’d love to see that because
Every life matters, especially yours.
God bless Nebraska and especially Her people.
