I support Chris Backemeyer to represent me and Nebraska’s 1st Congressional District in Washington DC. As the proud daughter of a Vietnam Marine who was awarded the Purple Heart for his service and sacrifice to our nation, I have always stood with our military family and wanted the best for them. I know that I can trust Chris Backemeyer to do right by them and therefore our nation.

I was also once the proud wife of a US State Department employee. I understand that the greatness of our government lies not with the career politicians but with the everyday people who serve their country in the various departments of our government.

As a servant of the Department of State, Chris never sought the glory of his service, just like our military family. He did the hard work behind the scenes to ensure our nation’s security, safety, stability and prosperity.

My ex-husband came here from Mauritania, a poor, corrupt country in West Africa. He was one of many who received food aid from the United States. It inspired him to learn English through Peace Corps volunteers, NGO employees and diplomats.

He helped me to love and respect my homeland once again after enduring the backlash after 9/11. He helped me see through his work with the Department of State that those who truly run our country are from all walks of life. They have great respect for our Constitution, traditions, values and people. I have nothing to fear because of their dedication and service.

I know that Chris Backemeyer is one such servant of we the people. He has more than proven himself capable in DC and right here in Nebraska. I have faith in him to do his best to make legislative decisions as a true public servant and not a greedy, corrupt, power hungry, glory seeking politician like so many others in DC and throughout our once great nation.

As a recent human trafficking survivor who was fighting for her life as many backed President Trump even through the tears, stories and pleas of his and Epstein’s survivors, as well as my own, I believe that Chris Backemeyer will restore the honor, dignity and respect for public office with integrity because he understands like me that

Every life matters, especially yours.

God bless Nebraska and especially Her people.

I am proud of my unique American identity. I am a proud survivor of human trafficking and a fighter for the abused and vulnerable of all kinds. No human should ever know the horrors of enslavement nor abuse of any kind. We MUST end the cycle of abuse. There is no greater gift we can give humanity.
