Lynne Walz
I could list the various political positions and accomplishments of Lynne Walz to sing her praises. It isn’t difficult. She has been a dedicated public servant for decades in various ways. For these reasons she was the first politician I contacted regarding my trafficking. I knew through her political positions that she would understand my horrific circumstances and not condemn the LGBTQ community in the process since one of my traffickers is a trans man. As a queer (pansexual) woman in the hateful climate against us and especially against trans people, it was beyond difficult to even report this horrific crime. I knew that it would take much more courage to take on the homophobic Governor Pillen, Senator Ricketts, Senator Fischer and Representative Flood.
Ms Walz didn’t disappoint. She wasn’t asked to do anything. I was simply notifying her. She was leaving office as my state Senator but replied within hours. Her words were simple yet thoughtful. They helped me gather the strength to take on the Good Old Boys Club with their exclusionary and hateful rhetoric. I haven’t stopped telling my story of being trafficked on September 13, 2022 in Fremont with my mother who was murdered one day shy of a year as a slave. The story has added far more twists and turns since I wrote to her in desperation but my fight is her fight. She fights for the people, not an exclusive, exclusionary club whose only values are greed, power and control over everything and everyone.
I happily and wholeheartedly support Lynne Walz’s campaign for Governor of the soon to be great State of Nebraska. It’ll be great once the Good Old Boys Club is gone and Nebraska is run for the people. It’s the American way because
Every life matters, especially yours.

Here’s what she wrote to me in my grief, confusion, frustration and desperation. It is a massive difference from the responses of Governor Jim Pillen and lack of response by anyone else. Ms Walz is intelligent and compassionate where Mr Pillen is highly ignorant and cares only about himself and those he owes allegiance to for his position and wealth. He has sold his soul and the Nebraskan people for the prestige of membership in the corrupt Good Old Boys Club. I can’t support corruption and greed. I support Ms Walz, soon to be Governor Walz!
