I’m Home!

I’m still in moving hell but loving where I am. Hamdulillah, I’m still alive. I’m afraid of heights but the windows are perfect, not scary unless I’m really close. Having them open and feeling the cool breeze is heavenly. The heat can get stifling but we’re never missing a breeze around here. I’d best not get started on the hurricane force winds 365 days a year here in Nebraska. It’s the bane of my existence sometimes. You can’t tell if I’m sick or the wind is knocking me over.

I face West and see the beautiful sunsets. I love staring at the bright, beautiful moon throughout the night. I look out over the gorgeous treetops during the day just as I’d do driving through Appalachia, wondering what I’d find down there in the hollers.

It’s a perfect sanctuary with wonderful, friendly people all around. I couldn’t have picked a more perfect apartment if I did so myself. It’s home. I am home.

Hamdulillah. I am alive, safe, home and free. Thank you, Nebraska! Thank you for reminding me that

Every life matters, especially yours.

God bless Nebraska and especially Her people.
