Genocide by a Thousand Cuts

A strong, powerful government doesn’t just fund their military might while rattling their sabers and ignoring the needs of the people, including their military personnel and families. This is how ruthless dictatorships and terrorist organizations come into existence. This is how genocides occur.

The House Committee on Appropriations and Senate Budgetary Needs of Federal Agencies are responsible through reconciliation for ensuring that our governmental agencies are fully and appropriately funded. This is boring yet important work that has been hijacked to serve the desires of the wealthy, powerful and ruthless few instead of the people, as intended and clearly stated in bold letters at the very beginning of our Constitution.

Every government agency must go through Congress before receiving any funding. This has been used as a political weapon by members of all parties to advance their political careers. They tell voters that they lowered taxes and lowered the budgets of greedy government agencies. The voters are more than happy with the supposed results to their pocketbooks. The careers of the politicians are assured to continue because of it.

What these same politicians refuse to acknowledge is that they cut agency budgets so much that they are now ineffective and dangerous. They are unable to follow the law and the public suffers the consequences.

Meanwhile the spending that lines the pockets of the oligarchs, billionaires, corporations and themselves are never in jeopardy from budget cuts. They receive the vast majority of tax breaks and government subsidies. They are the leeches feeding off of the people they are meant to serve.

The people suffer needlessly with more and more turning to government assistance. When that safety net is further decimated, the people turn to criminality and terrorism just to survive. It is a self fulfilling prophecy for the tough on crime crowd who has created criminals to cover their own heinous crimes, including crimes against humanity and war crimes. The current blame for this lays squarely at the feet of President Trump and those who eagerly serve HIS desires over the needs of the people.

This MUST stop for the health and welfare of our nation and world. We have lost all moral authority in the world by how we have treated our own citizens.

We MUST regain our moral authority by taking back control of Congress in the name of the People.

We MUST serve the needs of our own before we can even begin to assert our power over another nation or the world.

We MUST show our willingness to practice what we preach and put ourselves on equal footing with the world, including in the United Nations.

We MUST act for the people because every life matters, especially yours.
