Representative Eric Swalwell

I am beyond proud of the women who spoke their truth about Representative Eric Swalwell. I understand just how difficult of a decision it is. I am proud of his colleagues, staff and supporters for standing with the women and calling for him to drop out of his campaign for governor of California. They have succeeded where others have not.

Those in positions of power and authority who abuse others must never continue in these positions. Allowing them to continue gives them, other predators and would be predators permission to harm others. We have seen this very clearly with the reign of Donald Trump, a human trafficker, war criminal and terrorist. Some of his supporters have taken his actions as a license to commit unspeakable crimes against others. It must end before we are all enslaved or murdered to appease the terrorists, bullies and monsters of the world.

Our leaders must be held to a far higher standard than those they lead. If we don’t hold them accountable, we have lost all moral authority to hold others accountable for their actions. When we lose this completely, we will no longer be Americans. We will be the terrorists our fellow Americans and allies fought and died to stop.

My eternal gratitude for those who stand with survivors and my fellow survivors for telling their truth. It is the only way to achieve justice, peace and what America stand for, Freedom for All because
