Pillen’s Mental Health Crisis
I am appalled and disgusted by Governor Jim Pillen’s recent remarks regarding our mental health crisis. I, numerous friends and family have experienced mental health issues ranging from situational depression to dissociative identity disorder, previously known as multiple personality disorder.
Most of my experiences with sufferers was well before the advent of social media. A happy face and smile is exceedingly difficult when face to face with a violent sufferer who truly believes that they must kill you for whatever reason. I have stood toe to toe with my own father in these situations from a very young age and talked him down when most others rightfully feared for their lives. It is a horrific and exceedingly traumatic experience for most people.
I would invite Governor Pillen to try smiling in these situations and pray that a qualified professional with police backup was with him when he does so. He is beyond out of touch with Nebraskans and reality.
There are many ways to help Nebraskans but he, his sycophants and those who have bought and paid for his position as Governor would rather us Nebraskans suffer for the sake of the billionaire class than do anything meaningful and impactful.
There are numerous highly intelligent, educated professionals who have been fighting a losing battle to educate and help these sycophantic politicians do what needs to be done to make Nebraska truly great so that we can all live the Good Life, not just the greedy, faceless billionaires and conglomerates who have driven the average Nebraskan into ruination.
There are numerous factors that have contributed to our mental health crisis, many could be alleviated by reversing course on the policies of President Trump and the MAGA politicians who believe that only billionaires and corporations need help.
They believe that the people don’t need food, housing, healthcare, education nor good paying jobs. It’s only the lower and middle classes who need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. Unfortunately the people have no boots to pull up and they’re losing their feet because of it. It’s impossible for anyone to survive like this. This desperation has only exponentially increased our mental health crisis. It must stop because
Every life matter, especially yours.
God bless Nebraska and especially her people.
